The course starts at the Newville trail head of the Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail and finishes at the Shippensburg Station trail head in downtown Shippensburg. The course is entirely on the Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail. The Rail-Trail runs thru beautiful farmland and is mostly a smooth, crushed stone surface with 1/4 mile of pavement at the start and 1 mile of pavement at the finish.
